District 3 Tournament June 7

PA Bass Federation District 3 Tournament – June 7 Anchor Marine
DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, the June 7 tournament will be run with a new entry process, blast off process, weigh-in process and pay out process. You need to follow the guidelines. Questions….call Barry Potteiger at 717-497-1959.
TO ENTER

  1. Fully complete the tournament app on the PABASS.com website. This includes the
signature portion and include a note stating whether you are doing the $10 Lunker.
Lunker WILL NOT BE collected at the ramp. Scan this document to a PDF format and
email to blpjrp@gmail.com There are no guarantee boaters and riders so do not
    include.
  2. At the same time you email the application, you need to use PAYPAL to pay your entry
fee. PAYPAL allows you to use a credit card or bank account to pay the fee. In some
cases you will incur a 3% fee but my understanding is you can gift it at no cost. FEES are
Boater $100 plus option$10 lunker RIDERS $50 plus optional $10 lunker. VIA PAYPAL,
you will send the payment to the account BLPJRP@gmail.com. As a last resort you can
mail the application to Barry Potteiger 1780 Brentwood Ct Middetown PA 17057 and
make the check out to Barry Potteiger. I will place the money in the PAYPAL account.
Due to the timing, I prefer the PAYPAL process over the mail process. IN ALL CASES,
YOUR ENTRY MUST BE RECEIVED BY WEDNESDAY JUNE 3 NOON. NO HAND DELIVERED
    ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  3. On June 3 NOON I will check the number of boaters vs. riders and contact any riders that
may need to be eliminated. Elimination will be based on last entries received. This is
another reason to use PAYPAL vs US mail. The entries will be given to Mike Sabbi /
Dave Ciarletta to do a computerized draw. Based on the email you provide on the entry
form, I will email you your boat number and pairings. This should be done by Friday
    June 5.
MORNING OF THE TOURNAMENT and BLAST-OFF
  4. When you arrive at ANCHOR Marine the morning of the tournament, boaters will
launch your boat and find their riders. When I send out the pairings, cell #s will be
included so the boater and rider can make contact and make this process easier. The
only check-in will be for the boater to receive his number plate. This will include the
tournament directors phone number and check-in time. Check-in will be staggered by
15 minutes for every 10 boats.
  5. THERE WILL BE NO CONGREGATING AROUND THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS TABLE.
Other than getting your number, you must stay in or at your boat.
  6. When all boats are in the water, the Tournament Director will walk to the tip of the long
dock directly out from the ramp. Boat one will come by with livewell open and kill
switch attached. And we will proceed in boat number sequence. Each boat will idle to
the end of the no wake zone and take off. I will have observers watching and insuring
that everyone idles to the end of the no wake and does not go on plane before reaching
the end. Even if you are fishing the no wake area (see map of off limits), you must go
out and go back in (see map of off limits).
  7. OFF LIMITS
In the Northeast River, a diagonal line from the fixed fishing pier at the town park to the
east side of the first canal on the left as you leave Anchor Marina (Blue House). This
includes the entire Anchor Marina Basin and Nauti Goose docks.
On the Chesapeake Bay, a west-east line across the bay from the south point of Bush
River to the south point of Still Pond Cove. The Bush River and Still Pond are the
    southernmost fishable waters.
    WEIGH-IN PROCESS
  8. Check-in based on time on the plate. A person will be standing on the same long dock
to check you in. After checking in, please stay in your boat until called to the WEIGH-IN
dock. Due to social distancing, we will need to do one boat at a time. This will take
    some time, please be patient.
  9. You may not congregate at the weigh-in table. Anyone doing this will be
disqualified…no questions ask! STAY IN YOUR BOAT!
  10. After weighing in, place your fish back in the livewell and take out to the end of the no
wake area to put back in water. Then pull your boat and leave for home.
  11. There will be no announcement of winners or awards on site.
  12. Remember, do not congregate at the weigh-in site.
    Payout
  13. The results of the tournament will be emailed to you Monday morning.
  14. The TD will call those who won money to insure I have your correct PAYPAL account
address. The payouts will be done via PAYPAL.
  15. The remainder of the monies collected at the tournament will be sent via check to the
    District 3 treasurer.

TOURNAMENTS

West Virginia, New York and Maryland are open for tournaments under SPECIFIC guidelines from those states. PA Bass Federation Clubs and Districts who hold approved permits for tournaments are able to conduct those events as long as they abide by agency specific guidelines for those events.

The Junior Tournament on May 31st will be conducted so please get all of your youth involved. The second Junior Tournament will be July 25th at Gouldsboro. Combined points from these events will establish boat number for the PA Jr Championship. All teams are still welcome at the championship even if they do not fish either event.

Time to fish…please be safe.

District 2, Williamsport 4/5/20, Cancelled

Due to the current Health concerns, we have decided to cancel the tournament. We will try to reschedule this event for later this year. As soon as I have a new date it will be posted. I will be contacting everyone who sent in apps to see if you want me to hold your money for the rescheduled date. Take care of yourself and stay healthy.
