Aug. 11, 2012 – Yesterday’s light rain and cloud cover decided to stick around for the final day of the National Guard Junior World Championship on Lake Lanier near Gainesville, Ga. Andrew Gulliams of Springfield, MO and Max Danese of Franklin, MA held the top spots in their respected divisions going into the final day, but not overall. The weights were zeroed for a fresh level playing field today. They went out to prove they were in fact the best of the best. Both Guilliams and Danese received $3,000 in scholarships, and the most esteemed titles in junior angler fishing, the 2012 National Guard Junior World Champions. Continue reading

Pennsylvania and New Jersey High School Fishing State Championship Set For August 4th
PONCA CITY, Okla. (July 12, 2012) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, the Pennsylvania Bass Federation, Cabela’s and Berk’s Bassmasters will host the 2012 Student Angler Federation (SAF) Pennsylvania and New Jersey High School Fishing State Championship. Junior State Champions Converge on Gainesville,GA., Aug. 10,11 For 2012 National Guard Junior World Championship on Lake Lanier
Excitement builds as 82 state champions from all over the country make their way to Gainesville, Ga., to face off in the 2012 National Guard Junior World Championship, Aug. 10th-11th on Lake Lanier. The 2012 Forrest Wood Cup is being held on Lanier as well and these young anglers get the opportunity to take off right alongside the FLW Tour Pros each morning. More significantly, the FLW Tour Pros have blocked off and given the young TBF youth angler’s part of the water, which will be off-limits to them. Sawyer Grace & Austen Cathcart Crowned 2012 High School Fishing World Champions
July 21, 2012 – It had been a long time coming, and local anglers Sawyer Grace and Austen Cathcart of Russellville High School and the Dover High School Fishing Club claimed the 2012 High School Fishing World Finals crown today on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Ark. This is the first time an Arkansas Team has won this event. Even though the fishing had been tough all week with three-digit temperatures, the pair weighed in a five fish limit that weighed 15lbs 15oz. “We started catching em right off the bat this morning. The camera man showed up in our spot and hopped in our boat. Within a few minutes, just after we got mic’ed up, we started hitting ‘em. We caught 5 in a row and even culled one. We caught most our fish on a BB7 and some BB8 Bomber Crankbaits,” the team said. Continue reading
