Location – Cowanesque Lake
Launch Site – South Eastern Launch
Date – Sunday, August 9th
Time – 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, (if we can launch earlier we will try)
Registration – 5:00 am to 5:45 am
If there is still a $3 launch fee, it must be paid. The envelope and stub must be filled out completely. The envelope with the $3 fee must be place in the box at the top of the launch. The stub must be filled out completely and placed on the dash so it is clearly visible. Violators will be ticketed.
Do not launch your boat until you have checked in, completed the boat check and met up with your co-angler.
This will be a 5 fish tournament, 12″ minimum.
No culling of dead fish. Dead fish MUST be taken with you.
Lunker Fee is $10. Lunker must be a live fish.
All PA Boating and Fishing rules and regulation must be adhered to at all times.
All PA Bass tournament rules apply.
Angler must fish from the front deck and the Co-Angler must fish from the rear deck only.
It is suggested that the cost of the gas/oil used during the day be shared between the boater and the rider.
No wake areas mean NO WAKE. No passing in the No Wake area.
OFF LIMITS – Buoyed area around the dam, the beach areas, and 50 feet on either side of the launch. Areas posted BOATS KEEP OUT means no casting into that area either.
Fish care will be important today. Please make sure livewells are operating properly. I suggest using some kind of Please Release Me, Rejuvenade, or other similar product and ice as needed to reduce the livewell temp a few degrees.
Note about weigh-in. This will be a trailer weigh in. The co-angler should come up to the trailer to get in the bag line. Please remember to use social distancing. Get both bags (CANNOT use your own). When you get your bag, you can get your fish and bring them back for weigh in. When you come up to the scale with your fish, turn in your boat number, give me your name, verify weight and get your yellow copy of the weigh in slip. Return fish to water and return bags to table where you got them.
Last boat will call out numbers and each boat will launch every 10 seconds.
The tournament committee (District Officers present) will make the decision to hold a fog delay if necessary for safety. If so, the committee will make decisions regarding take off time, extending fishing hours, etc.
SAFETY – Life jackets MUST be worn when the outboard motor is running. This includes coming in to the dock, taking the boat on and off the trailer. If you are on the boat, the outboard is running, life jacket MUST be on for all aboard. Failure to do so can result in disqualification in the tournament.
**Any culling system utilized must reduce fish handling stress and injury (e.g., clips and color coding). Devices that use or require punching / piercing a hole in the fish’s mouth are NOT permitted. Fish should not be lifted from a livewell by culling tubes, ropes, etc., in an attempt to reduce stress.

I was contacted by someone at the PA Fish and Boat Commission. They are looking for people willing to participate in a Tournament Angler Survey. I will have a sign up list at the trailer. Survey results are intended to improve PFBC understanding of the preferences and opinions of tournament bass anglers. Please consider signing up.
Please contact me if you would like to fish. Thanks.
