Mr Bass East is complete!

Lake Anna played host to Mr. Bass East for 2012 and showed everyone a great time. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s an interesting lake with many types of structure.

Bill Barlow charged out to the day 1 lead looking strong to defend his crown with over 16 pounds and a 7.04 lunker. A group of anglers were within 4 pounds of the lead. Co-angler leader on day 1 was Joe Henderson with over 10 pounds and day 1 lunker a little under 4 pounds.
Day 2 fished tougher for many including Bill and he was not able to defend his title. District 3 kept it in the family though as Bob Miller was strong both days finishing in 1st place with 23.55 pounds over David Greenleaf with 22.03 who also made a strong 2 day showing. Bill finished 3rd (19.93) with Ed Guidon falling less than half a pound short of the money in 4th (19.60).
Fifth spot went to Chuck Anthony with 18.49 pounds with Scott Weimer finishing 6th (17.21).
District 6 new members Jeremy Limerick and Rocky Rhrodes had a good showing finishing 7th (16.60) and 9th (15.39) respectively with new member from Bay Anglers Bill Pursley sandwiched in between in 8th (15.96).
Rounding out the top 10 was Joe Booker with 15.29 pounds.
Where was that little guy in the white Ranger this year?  We sort of missed him.
District 1 tournament director Greg Smith weighed in the biggest fish of his career on day 2 for lunker at 6.9 pounds.
District 7 member and president Chris Wilson feigned competency with his first day strong bag over 12 pounds before drifting off into the sunset on day 2.
On the co-angler side Joe Henderson held on to his day 1 lead finishing first with 16.48 pounds. Shawn Noel’s strong tournament put him in second with 14.17 and Ryan Urso finished closest to limiting both days with 9 fish and 13.78 pounds for a third place finish.

Mizenko headed up the rest of the top ten with a 2nd day lunker of 6.69 pounds finishing 4th with a total weigh of 8.74 pounds. Fifth place goes to Somang Kim (7.33), 6th Superman Steve Koch (5.58), 7th Ron “Legs” Livers (5.40), 8th Gary Leranian (5.34), 9th Steve Steiner (5.25) and 10thplace goes to Tony Osborne with 4.87 pounds.
